The Midland Advantage
Midland Chutes strives to be the leader in the industry by providing high quality products at affordable costs. The quality and design advantages of Midland Chutes are numerous:
- Made in the U.S.A.
- Can meet any competitor specification.
- T-Handle with cylinder lock or thumb latch designs.
- Durable shaft hinge in all bottom-hinged doors.
- 20ga. stainless steel door fronts and 18ga. aluminized steel backs with stainless steel trim.
- Intakes with drywall flanges or masonry brackets to assure plumb door and wall alignment.
- Intake design eliminates the need for fire sprinkler shields.
- Bolt together or slip joint straight sections.
- Spring-loaded horizontal rolling discharge doors to assure positive closing action.
- Corrosion-resistant and rust-proof aluminum roof flashing and vent assembly.
- Normally locked electric interlock doors with momentary action for safety and longer life.
- Uses spiral pipe in straight sections. *(see note)
Although slip joint straight sections are available, Midland Chutes utilizes spiral pipe for it's straight sections unless otherwise requested because of the following reasons:
- Superior strength from a locking channel every 4 ¾".
- Eliminates the need for a third piece of chute on most floor applications. Spiral pipe can be cut at lengths to suit the floor height. This feature reduces transportation, handling, and installation costs.
- The spiral pipe locking channels and matte interior finish give more sound reduction than any of our competitors sound-coated straight-seamed pipe. Optional sound coating and isolator pads produce an even quieter chute. *(see note)
